About Me

I’ve been working in UX & Product for almost 10 years

I've had the privilege of helping teams large and small navigate challenges and deliver reliable results.

I'm known for my focus, drive, and curiosity, as well as skill in finding ways to help people thrive. I take pride in creating light, flexible structure and helping products evolve gracefully over time.

I was born, raised, and currently live in/around Washington DC

I honestly don’t love DC — sticky summers, beltway traffic, overpriced real estate and constant job/politics small talk is not my thing — and spent my entire 20s in other parts of the world before returning, but DC is home to family and friends I’ve had for decades.

I spend a decent portion of my weekends trying to avoid the above on a walking trail (Riverbend Park bluebell hike in April, pass it on!), out in a suburban cultural enclave (yay, Annandale kimbap!), or disappearing into an art museum (Freer/Sackler FTW!).

I’ve admired and studied Chinese language and culture for 15+ years

I was first exposed to Mandarin Chinese as an elementary schooler, I studied all 4 years in undergrad, and I spent 5 years living and working in China after graduation.

While my Mandarin accent and vocabulary have significantly deteriorated over the last decade, I’m proud to say that my dumpling, wonton and bao skills are still top notch.

When not working, I gravitate to design in the physical world

My background is firmly in UX for digital products & services, and I have an incredible appreciation for all other parts of the design world.

In particular, I’m fascinated by urban environmental graphics, museum design, and landscape architecture. A highlight in the last few years was having lunch with the graphic design legend, Michael Beirut, at Pentagram’s NYC office.
